By accepting Deen Removals and Storage Ltd's offer for removal services, you enter into a legally binding contract.
1. Services Provided:
• We provide a comprehensive removal service, including loading, unloading, and transportation of goods from one location to another.
• Our service includes a room-to-room moving service, ensuring that all items are placed in the designated areas at the delivery location.
• Customers must use Deen Removals and Storage Ltd for lawful purposes only. Any illegal activities, harassment, or actions that cause distress to our staff will not be tolerated.
• We reserve the right to refuse or terminate service if our staff experience physical or verbal abuse, threats, or any other form of mistreatment.
2. Pricing & Additional Charges
• The cost of our removal services is determined based on the details provided by the customer before booking. Failure to disclose all items may result in additional charges, which will be decided by the on-site Operations Manager.
• Charges for additional items:
o £20.00 per extra furniture item
o £10.00 per extra box
o £3.90 per box beyond the initial allocation (10 for 1-bedroom, 20 for 2-bedroom, 50 for 3-bedroom, 70 for 4-bedroom moves)
• Hanging wardrobes are not included in the provided packing materials and must be arranged separately.
• If an extra truck or additional trip is required, a surcharge of up to 70% of the total job amount per truck will apply.
• Waiting charges of £80.00 per hour per truck will be incurred if the removal team is required to wait for more than 30 minutes.
3. Customer Responsibilities
• Customers must ensure someone is present during both the collection and delivery of their belongings.
• Customers are responsible for arranging suitable parking for our removal vehicle at both locations. Any fines incurred due to parking violations will be charged to the customer.
• A written inventory of stored goods and their declared value must be provided when using storage services.
• Full payment must be made before unloading. If payment is not completed, items will be placed into storage, and additional storage charges will apply.
• Customers are responsible for any parking tickets, congestion charges, or ULEZ charges incurred during the move.
• The customer must confirm ownership or legal rights to move or store goods with Deen Removals and Storage Ltd.
• A valid correspondence address must be provided for any goods stored with us.
4. Storage Terms
• If the list of items provided before the move is exceeded on moving day, additional charges will apply.
• If customers collect their goods from our warehouse or use another company for collection, a 35% release charge of the total job amount will apply.
• Customers must ensure nothing is left behind at the collection location or taken away by mistake.
• If we are unable to deliver your goods due to customer-related issues, they will be placed into storage at the customer’s expense.
• Deen Removals and Storage Ltd retains the right to withhold or dispose off stored goods if payments are overdue. Storage charges will continue to apply until all outstanding balances are cleared.
• Late storage payments incur a £20.00 per day penalty fee.
5. Cancellation & Delays
• Deposits are non-refundable in the event of job cancellation.
• After booking confirmation, cancellation is only permitted within 3 hours. If canceled after this period, 100% cancellation charges will apply.
• The cooling-off period does not apply, as this is a short-term contract for one or two-day services.
• Arrival times are estimates, and unforeseen circumstances may cause delays.
• If we are unable to provide the originally booked vehicle due to a breakdown or accident, we will make every effort to send a replacement vehicle.
6. Liability & Insurance
• We are liable for damage caused during transportation, with a maximum liability of £60,000.00.
• We are not liable for damage caused by property design limitations (e.g., narrow staircases, small doors, loft access). Customers must inform us of such potential complications in advance.
• If customers handle their own packing, we are not responsible for any resulting damages.
• Customers must pay the first £250.00 for any damage claims, as required by our insurance provider.
• Any damage must be reported on the day of the move or within 7 days. Claims made after this period will not be accepted.
• Claims must be submitted to our claims department at info@deenremovals.com.
• We are not liable for:
o Fragile items damaged due to customer packing.
o Damage to electrical appliances unless external damage is evident.
o Minor dents, chips, and scratches sustained during the move.
o Delays in transit, unless caused by our negligence.
7. Prohibited Items
Deen Removals and Storage Ltd does not transport or store:
• Stolen goods, illegal items, pornography, or hazardous materials (e.g., gas bottles, ammunition, aerosols, liquids, liquor).
• High-value items such as jewelry, watches, precious metals, money, deeds, and personal identification documents (e.g., passports, visas, ID cards).
8. Miscellaneous
• Customers must double-check the removal truck after unloading to ensure all belongings have been removed.
• If customers assist with moving, we are not liable for any damages.
• Staff members are entitled to breaks for meals, drinks, and refreshments.
• Deen Removals and Storage Ltd reserves the right to subcontract some or all of the work.
